Everything you need to know before booking your Off Peak Break.

Planning

We follow a clear six-step process: Discovery Call → Break Design → e²i Baseline Survey → The Break → Outcomes Report → 30-day Follow-up.

It starts with a free 20-minute Discovery Call where we map the right break to your team's challenges and calendar. From there we design the programme, handle all logistics end-to-end, and deliver a written e²i outcomes report within 10 days of your break. No commitment required to get started.

We recommend 4–6 weeks for a day experience and 6–10 weeks for an overnight or multi-day break. Weekday slots are in high demand — we're currently limited to 5 new clients this quarter, so earlier is better.

If your window is tighter, get in touch and we'll explore what's possible.

We work with groups from 20 to 200+ participants. Our most common range is 30–80 people. For larger groups we often run concurrent programme streams that converge for key shared moments — keeping everything cohesive regardless of scale.

Yes — this is our most popular format. Our Business Offsites break is designed specifically for this: quarterly reviews, strategy sessions, product launches and leadership retreats all work naturally alongside curated experiences. We design the agenda so the two complement rather than compete with each other.

As little as you like. We handle everything end-to-end — venue sourcing, transport, accommodation, meals, activities, branding, gifting, and on-the-day coordination. One scoping call to agree the brief, and we manage the rest with regular milestone updates.

The experience

We offer three core break types:

  • Business Offsites — strategy days, product sprints, leadership retreats in nature-centric settings
  • Learning & Development — onboarding intensives, cross-team workshops, skill bootcamps with real retention
  • Rewards & Recognition — annual retreats, top performer trips, team celebration weekends

All overnight and multi-day formats include e²i measurement as standard.

We curate every programme to match your team's goals. Activities include hiking and nature treks, team cooking classes, outdoor mindfulness sessions, sailing, chocolate making, wine tasting, off-road adventures, stand-up comedy evenings, and DJ nights.

We don't use off-the-shelf packages — your programme is assembled specifically for your group and objectives.

Weekday breaks are a deliberate design choice. They keep venues quieter, costs lower, and — critically — they protect your team's personal time. A Thursday break signals investment in your people during work hours, not an expectation that they give up their weekend.

They're also entirely flight-free, making them the responsible choice for organisations with sustainability commitments.

Yes. We collect all dietary requirements and accessibility or mobility considerations during onboarding and brief all venues and activity providers accordingly. Please flag anything early and we'll make sure it's handled properly.

Yes. Branded collaterals, welcome kits, and customised gifts are regularly part of our scope — especially popular for partner engagement events, milestone celebrations, and sales kick-offs. Flag it in the brief and we'll work it into the programme.

e²i & outcomes

e²i (Employee Engagement Index) is Off Peak Break's proprietary measurement tool. It delivers a quantifiable Engagement Score — captured before and after every break — that aligns team wellbeing directly with business outcomes.

Not anecdote. Evidence. Off Peak Break isn't a perk — it's a tool for high performance.

Three steps: a pre-break survey captures baseline engagement and team sentiment. The break takes place. An outcomes report — with your before-and-after Engagement Score and written findings — is delivered within 10 days.

A 30-day virtual follow-up session is then held to review sustained gains and embed lasting change.

Across our client base: 38% average uplift in engagement scores post-break, 94% of managers report improved team communication, and we hold a 95 NPS customer satisfaction score.

Dell's Senior Director of Sales described it as "the best investment decision to keep my team motivated and bonded."

The report is designed to be shared directly with leadership. Clients use it to demonstrate ROI, benchmark across breaks over time, and feed into People & Culture or L&D board presentations. Every score is tied to your people strategy — not generic wellness metrics.

e²i is included as standard on all overnight and multi-day breaks. It's available as an add-on for day experiences. We'd recommend it for any organisation wanting to track engagement over time or build a credible business case for continued investment.

Pricing & booking

All pricing is bespoke and depends on group size, break format, location, activities chosen, and any custom additions. We provide a fully itemised proposal so you can see exactly what you're paying for — no hidden fees.

We can structure pricing as a net rate or on a commission basis depending on your procurement preferences.

Everything. Venue sourcing and booking, transport, accommodation, all meals, activity facilitation, programme design, on-the-day coordination, branded collaterals, gifting, e²i measurement, and the post-event outcomes report. You arrive; we've handled the rest.

No. The initial 20-minute Discovery Call is completely free and carries no commitment. We use it to understand your team's challenges and objectives, and to map the right break to your calendar. If it's not the right fit, we'll tell you — no hard sell.

Our standard terms allow cancellation or rescheduling up to 28 days before the break without penalty. Cancellations inside 28 days may incur costs already committed to third-party suppliers. Full terms are included in your booking agreement.

Yes. All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT is charged at the standard UK rate and shown separately on all invoices.

Logistics

We source venues across the UK — coastal (East Sussex, Dorset), countryside, woodland, and highland (Lake District, Scottish Highlands). Every location is within 2 hours of your office, entirely flight-free, and curated by us — no headache on your side.

Yes — transport coordination is included in our standard scope for overnight and multi-day breaks. We arrange coaches or minibuses from a central meeting point and manage the return journey. For teams travelling from multiple locations we can coordinate multiple pickup points.

We send a clear pre-event information pack to all participants covering what to bring, what to wear, the schedule, and venue-specific notes. For outdoor activities, comfortable clothing and footwear suited to light terrain is recommended. Everything else is provided.

All facilitators and trainers are professionally accredited and experienced with corporate groups. We conduct a risk assessment for every break and brief all venue staff on participant-specific requirements. Safety briefings are delivered before all physical activities.

Yes. We design every programme with the full range of a typical corporate team in mind. Activities are always optional or have accessible alternatives, and nature treks are graded to light terrain by default. Anyone with specific mobility or health considerations should flag this during onboarding.
